- JCDecaux signs an 8-year deal to replace all static ads in the Helsinki and Espoo metro systems with a digital screen network.

JCDecaux, the world's largest outdoor ad company, renewed its contract for the Helsinki and Espoo metro systems, securing an eight-year deal to replace all static ads with a state-of-the-art digital screen network. The move solidifies its grip on the Finnish market by creating a fully integrated digital advertising platform.
All aboard the upgrade: Starting in July 2026, the company will rip out old posters across all 30 metro stations and install a network of LED screens. The overhaul targets the metro's weekly audience of over 1 million commuters on the transport artery connecting Finland's two largest cities.
Street to subway: The strategy is integration. JCDecaux will combine the high-traffic metro system with its existing nationwide street furniture portfolio, letting advertisers hit their audience with ads on the street and then again moments later on the subway platform.
The deal allows JCDecaux to offer a continuous marketing journey, leveraging its physical footprint to capture audience attention across multiple touchpoints and cementing the value of integrated digital-out-of-home advertising in the region.
